Ole Einar Bjørndalen, Bjørndalen also spelled Bjoerndalen, (born January 27, 1974, Drammen, Norway), Norwegian biathlete whose 13 Olympic Games medals are the most for any male Winter Olympian and who is widely considered the greatest biathlete of all time. Bjørndalen, the youngest of five children, grew up on a farm in Simostranda, Norway, where he became a skilled cross-country skier.
